Silicone wristbands and bracelets are everywhere today. Wristbands are used to convey support for a team, advertise a business, promote a campaign or cause, commemorate an event or publicize an affiliation. In addition, silicone wristbands are cheap to manufacture and fun to wear. Because of these reasons, silicone wristbands are very popular today. However,  manufacturers, promotional companies, and decorators often run into decorating challenges especially with pad printing.  The main challenge; the proper ink to use to decorate silicone wristbands. Well, the quick way to mass decorate wristbands is to pad print silicone wristbands using the Natron™ SE  silicone inks.

Some of the challenges decorators and printing companies face are:

  • finding the right pad print silicone ink, hardener, and solvent
  • mixing the ink correctly, and
  • having a safe  and a compliant ink.

Pad Print Silicone Wristbands with Natron SE Silicone Inks

Boston Industrial Solutions designed and manufactured a silicone ink ideal for pad printing wristbands.  The SE silicone ink series comes in 40+ standard colors, in addition to color matching capability.  The silicone ink is very easy to use.  Simply pour the ink into a mixing bucket and note the weight of the ink. Add to the ink by weight 5% of the catalyst. Do not add more than 10% of the catalyst to the ink.  Mix the ink thoroughly and print.  Should you need to increase the viscosity of the ink, add 5% of the STR50 Solvent/ Reducer to the ink, mix and then pad print silicone wristbands.  Never add more than 10% of the STR50 Solvent to the ink. This is because adding more than 10% of the solvent to the ink may cause the ink not to cure.

Lastly, the Natron™ SE silicone inks are ideal for pad printing silicone wristbands because they are made of pure silicone, which means that  you can rest assured that the inks are safe, and so will be your customers.
